Preschool - Our Home Away from Home
Our three-year-old classrooms provide stimulating surroundings and plenty of loving attention. Your child will enjoy the comfort of his own personalized cot for napping and a cubby to store his personal belongings. Our teachers encourage healthy eating habits and self-help skills during our three scheduled meal times. Your child’s day is filled with curriculum-based activities in an environment that is designed with their needs in mind.Our Classroom Environment
During a child’s preschool years, Celebree Learning Centers understands that your child is growing from a young child into an independent learner. Our three-year-old program is designed to promote creativity, exploration and imagination. Our classrooms are furnished to promote learning through play in our dramatic play area, building with blocks, science, literature, art and a manipulative station. Our teachers promote self-confidence and self-help skills by keeping a Helper Chart, where your child is able to participate in daily classroom chores and jobs. We credit our success to our exceptional teachers and our curriculum, which is unique to Celebree Learning Centers and focuses on the whole child.
During Circle Time your child will learn about the weather and the days of the week. Singing and learning new rhymes along with Spanish and Sign Language are also important components of Circle Time. Each three year old will participate in a language and literacy group activity, math, and science exploration time, and gross motor activities. An art project is completed each day. Our highly trained teachers focus on Phonemic Awareness skills and extending Phonemic Awareness into written language. We make learning fun and enjoyable.
Our Team for Consistency
Celebree Learning Centers believes that it takes a partnership between our parents and educators to provide the best environment for our three year olds.Each evening when you arrive, you will receive a Daily Report informing you of your child’s day. Our teachers will document all meal times, nap time and learning enrichment activities. It is our goal and responsibility to ensure consistency between Celebree and home. This constant communication ensures consistency and smooth transitions.
Our teachers will complete quarterly Progress Reports to chart your child’s growth and progress in the following areas: early literacy, language, math, fine motor, gross motor, social/emotional development and music. Here are just a few examples included in our skills list:
- Begins to associate sounds with letters (phonemic awareness)
- Understands opposites
- Sorts objects by color and size with guidance
- Attempts to draw a person
- Balances on one foot for 5-10 seconds
- Dresses self
- Begins to talk about feelings to express emotions
- Keeps simple time and rhythm by clapping hands
