Dear Celebree families,
Let me begin this letter by saying that in this time of uncertainty, we are extremely grateful for the compassion, respect and humanity we have all shown to each other.
Celebree School is guided by the idea that early childhood development is equal parts curriculum and connection among students, families and community. In other words, we are made stronger by educating each other, working together and caring for our neighbors. That commitment to our collective well-being is even more critical today given global health concerns around COVID-19.
Keeping each and every member of the Celebree School family as safe as possible is my main concern, always. To that end, Celebree School assembled an internal task force dedicated to COVID-19 that is actively monitoring how it may impact our students, employees and day-to-day operations. Members of the task force are considering the guidance provided by The Centers for Disease and Prevention and working with all county health departments within Maryland and Delaware.
As uncertain and challenging as this time is, we have to make decisions that put the health of our students, staff, faculty, and families first. Like other schools across the nation, we also feel a responsibility to do our part to stop the spread of the virus in the broader community.
As we gather additional information from local public health officials and announcements made by Governor Hogan and Governor Carney, we will communicate with you on a regular basis. At this time, we have not decided to close any schools, but will keep you informed and will give you as much notice as possible.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our communities safe. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me or your local school director.
Best,
Richard Huffman
