James and Brittany Gentry have been married for 10 years and have three beautiful children together. James has been Active-Duty Air Force throughout their marriage bringing their family to many different duty stations. James is a devoted leader, his many roles in the service have given him a unique opportunity to work with people from all over the world. James takes pride in giving his all to every project and aspect of the job. Brittany earned her School Age education degree when they were station in Charleston, SC where she went on to work at their children’s school. During Brittany’s time in the classroom, she also spent time building up their PTA where they created many community outreach opportunities. A large part of why they chose Celebree is the connection they felt within every school they toured. Celebree values building relationships with families and their community, while giving the highest care to children in preparation for their futures.
Born and raised in: Madisonville, James Gentry (Doc) has been a Kentucky resident his whole life. Doc graduated from Western Kentucky University with a double Major in Agriculture and Biology with a Minor in Economics. After graduation he was accepted into Auburn University for Veterinarian School. He started practicing in Marion, Kentucky before moving his talents to Lexington where he would build a family and spend the rest of his career. Doc built a clinic on Richmond Road before buying Sheabel Veterinary Clinic, he then started practicing there and built a well-known reputation for his devolution to animals and their families. Sheabel would go on to be a staple for him and his family. Doc was also the owner of fifteen Banfield Hospitals for ten years. When asked what his secret to success he is says, “The best is not the cheapest”. He has stood by this motto in his professional life-giving high-quality care to animals and their families for decades.
Bethany Mattingly, born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, has dedicated herself to the field of early childhood education. With a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Liberty University and credentials in CPR, first aid, and Preschool CDA, she has built a robust career over 15 years. Bethany’s journey began as a teacher, and she has since accumulated nine years of management and director experience across various locations in the Louisville metro area.
Bethany has been happily married for two years and shares her life with two loving cats. Outside of work, she enjoys bowling, spending quality time with her family, taking walks, and traveling the world. Her passion for children and education drives her enthusiasm, and she looks forward to meeting new families and supporting their little ones on their educational journey.
