Jenny and Chris Stine bring a blend of passion, dedication, and experience to Celebree School of Franklin – Cool Springs. Having called Franklin home since 2018, they are deeply rooted in the community, along with their two children, Carter and Emmett.
Jenny Stine grew up as an Army dependent, which instilled in her a strong sense of duty and community from a young age. She is committed to being actively involved in all aspects of the school’s operations, ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they deserve. Jenny has a rich history of community involvement and a deep connection to education. She has served as Vice President of Personal Relations on the Kenrose Elementary School PTO, acted as Room Parent and Kindergarten Liaison at Battle Ground Academy, and since 2018, has been a dedicated volunteer in her church’s Sunday preschool program. Her passion for early childhood education led her to work as a temporary contractor for the same department in 2022.
Before embracing motherhood, Jenny’s career was marked by leadership and operational expertise. She served as an Operations Manager, opening nationwide fitness centers in Milwaukee and Chicago for five years. Prior to that, she worked as a FEMA floodplain specialist at an engineering firm in Fairfax, VA. From 2016 to 2024, Jenny focused on raising her two sons, bringing her nurturing and organizational skills to her role as a stay-at-home mom.
Chris Stine is a seasoned professional, holding an MBA from Northwestern University and a JD from the University of Illinois Chicago. He has spent the majority of his career in the healthcare industry, specializing in business development and mergers and acquisitions. Chris’s professional journey began with a distinguished military career; he served as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps, completing tours of duty in Afghanistan and the Republic of Georgia.
Together, Jenny and Chris are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for every child at Celebree School of Franklin – Cool Springs. Their combined experiences in leadership, community service, and education ensure that your child will thrive under their care.
Hi! My name is Laura Abernathy, and I am thrilled to be the School Director at Celebree School of Franklin-Cool Springs! I have over 10 years of experience in early childhood education and leadership, and I hold an associate’s degree and technical certificate in Early Childhood Education, as well as a TECTA certification in Administration. In addition, I am currently working towards my bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies.
My journey in early childhood education began over a decade ago as a toddler teacher, where I quickly discovered my passion for nurturing young minds and fostering meaningful connections with families. I have embraced every opportunity to grow and make a difference! Starting with our littlest learners, my career advanced from the classroom to leadership roles, advancing from Toddler Teacher to Office Manager, then Assistant Director, and now proudly serving as Director. Each step of the way has deepened my dedication to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment for children, families, and other educators.
As an educator, I am committed to recognizing and celebrating each child’s unique individuality while fostering strong, collaborative partnerships with families. My decision to join Celebree School reflects my deep alignment with its core values: to protect, educate, and nurture. These principles guide not only my teaching philosophy but also my daily approach to creating a supportive, enriching environment where every child can thrive.
Outside of work, I am grateful to be a wife and a mom of two amazing children. Some of my hobbies include shopping, watching football (go Chiefs!), cooking/baking, and traveling. I am looking forward to meeting you and welcoming your family to Celebree School of Franklin-Cool Springs!
