Merry Mattson is the dedicated owner/operator of Celebree School of Hershey and is so excited for her families to experience the Celebree difference. Merry’s mission for her school is a deeply heartfelt one. She is committed to supporting the emotional, social, and educational needs of every child who walk through her doors, just as she would for her own children.
Merry brings a wealth of experience from her entrepreneurial ventures in the garment industry, where she excelled in imports and exports. In addition to her business acumen, Merry has a profound passion for education, having dedicated years to teaching English to young students in China. Her unique skill set combines strong business management expertise with a deep understanding of educational principles.
Merry’s journey as an educator began in 2001 when she launched her English training summer camp as a university freshman. With innovative teaching techniques and a passion for education, the camp quickly gained popularity, expanding from a humble enrollment of 6-7 students to hundreds within just three years. Her students ranged in age from 3 years old to high schoolers. Throughout her career, she has positively influenced and impacted thousands of students on their English learning journeys, igniting their interests in the language and fostering motivation for self-learning.
Her husband, David Mattson, is a dedicated individual who served in the United States Air Force for six years. During his time in China, he discovered his calling in early childhood education while teaching English at a local kindergarten. There, he played a pivotal role in nurturing the interests of hundreds of preschoolers. Together, Merry and David, combined with the Celebree philosophy, have crafted a preschool experience that leverages their combined expertise to fostering growth and development in all areas of a child’s life.
Merry and David are the proud parents of two delightful daughters, aged 8 and 11. In their personal time, the family cherishes quality moments together, enjoying Marvel movies and embarking on exciting vacations. Their dedication to both their school and family underscores their commitment to creating a warm and nurturing environment for all children in their care. Welcome to Celebree School of Hershey!
